Hillside Primary School

Farrans Construction were tasked with building a new primary school south of Aberdeen. I B Services were requested to fit all interactive screens in the classrooms and digital signage throughout. We also installed 39 internal Wireless Access Points and 5 external Access Points.

The classrooms were all fitted with a teaching wall along one side of the room, these walls allow the teacher to store all resources in one accessible location. The center of the wall is where the 65 inch Clevertouch Interactive display is sited. To ensure the teaching walls were strong enough to take the combined weight of the display and balance box bracket, we provided detailed drawings of how the wall should be re-enforced. The end result was a solid surface capable of holding the display without any vibration or movement.

The chosen Clevertouch Plus display is helped by a Roth Sub Zero 2 soundbar and the installed cabling allows any component to be plugged in. The balance box bracket allows the display to be effortlessly moved up and down with 400mm travel to allow all ages to reach the entire display.

The digital signage has been provided through 65inch LG displays and a Onelan system allowing for the school to display any information they choose on each TV.

The Wireless Access Points installed were Aerohive AP130, 39 in total were installed as per a provided plan. All games hall access points were installed inside protective boxes to prevent damage.

5 External AP’s, AP1130, were installed in a protective box to prevent possible vandalism. These external AP’s allow for coverage throughout the whole playground and across to the Astroturf pitch.
